Century is the first company in India committed to providing traceable and sustainable MDF. They are one of the largest sellers of multi-use plywood and decorative veneers, exporting to more than 20 countries.

In October 2017 Century started the commercial production of MDF (Medium Density Fibre) at Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Century's MDF plant in Hoshiarpur has a network of distributors located in 12 cities across India. Major locations include Saharanpur, Jaipur, Indore, Bangalore, Kotdwar and Trivandrum.

Objectives

  • Map the supply chain and catchment area, with field visits to consult farmers and communities living near the plant.
  • Implement a traceability and sustainability system.
  • Share the traceable and sustainable MDF story on multiple platforms.
  • Provide traceable and sustainable MDF in the local market.
  • Encourage direct sourcing from farmers.

Our work

Century is working with Earthworm to make sure their MDF is traceable and sustainable. The objectives above set out how we will help Century to achieve this.
