Why cocoa brands must move beyond certification.

Chocolate is enjoyed by many, but the cocoa in it is often linked to deforestation, child labour and extreme poverty. What can brands do to change that? Many have traced a portion of their supply chain, but these brands have to pay a premium to do so. Rather than pay a premium for FairTrade or Rainforest Alliance, we believe brands should collectively push suppliers to make supply chain traceability the norm.
