Pro Fair Trade AG share their journey so far in mapping their coconut supply chain

Is it easy to trace a company’s supply of coconut in the Ivory Coast? “That is a good question,” says Peter Bachmann, owner of Pro Fair Trade AG. “To be honest, no – it’s not an easy task.” The company buys mainly fats and oils from developing countries and sells to the Swiss market. With no global guidelines in place on how to produce coconut it is trying to innovate and bring such a product to market. They wanted to find out exactly where their coconut supply comes from and how it is produced. Find out exactly how they are doing that by watching this video by TFT’s Florian Wiesner.
