Leroy Merlin Brazil become TFT member.

As of January 2019, The Forest Trust has become Earthworm Foundation.

The DIY retailer, part of the Adeo group, is since November 2010 a TFT member working on a journey towards Responsible Products.

By becoming a TFT member, Leroy Merlin is taking an important step in signifying its care for people and the environment and sending a powerful message to the timber sector: effective actions are taken towards wood responsibility by companies all over the world, even in emerging markets. Working together Leroy Merlin and TFT will get to the heart of the problem of illegal logging in Brazil, since Imazon estimates that in 2009 79% of Brazil´s production was absorbed by the domestic market.

With TFT’s support and by way of example, Leroy Merlin can contribute to significant changes in terms of wood responsibility in the Brazilian DIY sector.
