Your Role
Being Global Relationship Manager, your day will be primarily focused (80-90%) on:
Serve as global account manager for key partner company (‘member’), providing excellent project management, ensuring high quality on-time and on-budget deliverables, contributing to the provision of strategic support, and cultivating trusting relationships
Work closely with Earthworm’s US-based Global Relationship Manager, the member company, and local Earthworm teams across the globe to develop work plans that effectively advance shared environmental and social objectives connected to member’s supply chain
Collaboratively manage full life cycle of partnership activities, from initial proposal development and contract negotiation/signing to project management and reporting
With additional focus areas (10-20%):
Provide versatile support to member company, such as stakeholder, supplier and customer engagement; supply chain environmental and social risk & opportunity analysis; and communication pieces and opportunities.
Proactively seek opportunities both within and beyond the scope of partnership activities for Earthworm and the member company to deepen shared impact
Effectively represent Earthworm Foundation at events and conferences relevant to and/or of strategic interest to member company
Become a subject matter expert on commodities and Earthworm projects of strategic importance to member company
Your Profile
Passionate about environmental management, forestry, social impact, and/or labor relations, you are genuinely motivated to contribute your skills and competencies to a cause that generates positive impact to address the global challenges of our time.
Your proven track record of managing complex and multiple projects in corporate settings and across cultures is crucial. With your experience in international supply chains either from a relationship management, supply-chain management or sustainability perspective, and your good knowledge of natural raw materials, forest and/or food products, certification programs and agricultural commodities, your proposals are significantly adding-value to drive transformation.
Being an outgoing relationship builder with excellent communication skills, a critical thinker though pragmatic and non-judgmental, you thrive on human relations and are able to engage with stakeholders at all level, explaining your field to a variety of audiences with natural ease and gravity. Your genuine curiosity toward others and natural empathy and ability to take a clear position and define a way forward in your field of responsibilities makes you a trusted partner and esteemed advisor.
Over the years, you were increasingly exposed to coordinate international, multicultural teams, leading to successful delivery on complex projects across geographies. This strength is grounded in strong organisational skills, appetite for complex data analysis and keen attention to detail. Your intellectual pioneering traits brings you to enjoy taking initiative in a logic of continuous improvement.
Principled and value driven you independently navigate into dynamic, organic and diverse work environments with resilience and self-awareness which will enable you to thrive within Earthworm.
Ability to travel by air and to the field will be key to be successful as this position includes travel within Brazil to corporate offices and remote field project sites; with possible additional international travel to the United States or other countries where there are member activities (estimated 4 weeks per year); Scheduling flexibility required to accommodate calls and meetings across global time zones.
