Your Role

As Human Resources Manager for a defined population in Europe you will be reporting to the Europe HR Lead, and will be primarily responsible for:

  • Managing Human Resource Operations: monitor payroll accurately and provide timely response to staff demands in that regard; ensure compliant administration of staff contracts and addendums; master labour law in France, UK and/or Switzerland, have a good understanding of compensation & benefits management; maintain HRIS up-to-date and contribute to improve the tool (a Sales Force Solution) on an ongoing basis; ensure policies and processes are understood, owned and respected by all staff in the region.
  • Advising staff and managers: guiding managers to thrive in their role during key moments (recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, performance, team building, conflict remediation, termination, succession planning), firmly anchored in our values; help develop staff skills, strengths and human competencies, prioritizing training needs and improve people review mapping; Offer confidential and inclusive support to all staff.
  • Driving Human Resources Programmes and promote regenerative culture: coordinate targeted initiatives to enable staff well-being, cultivate a positive atmosphere at work where authenticity is valued; Grow individual self-awareness, our culture of direct feedback and psychological safety; enable meaningful connections with one another; encourage sensemaking, decision making and empowerment through clear individual and team objectives.
  • Working on ad-hoc projects: support your manager and team in the continuous improvement of our HR services offering, for a high quality and compliant delivery through other occasional projects related to statutory obligations, organizational or Global HR priorities or staff demands.

Your Profile

Passionate about people and their growth, you are genuinely motivated to contribute your skills and expertise to an organisation that generates positive impact to agriculture, forest, family farming and social matters, addressing the global challenges of our time.

With a demonstrated experience in Human Resources in small to mid-size organizations you diligently master payroll, labour law and employee lifecycle processes, ideally across multiple European countries like Switzerland and France, which makes you a great asset to the team. Structured and organized in your work, you value precision and clarity in order to make sure things are done correctly, even when completion of a task is spread over long period of time.

You strive to establish trustworthy relationship with the staff and are able to navigate complex human situations, demonstrating humility and self-reflection in your actions. You naturally help cultivate an environment of trust, withholding judgment of individuals while offering genuine feedback and advice. Being a service-oriented person, you want to meet other’s need in a helpful, supportive and warm manner. These qualities enable you to give confidence to people around you and ultimately thrive.

Working Conditions

  • Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration (preferable)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience
  • To start as soon as possible, ideally September 2024
  • Full-time position, open-ended
  • Fluent in French & English, other language like German or Spanish a plus
  • Role based in Lille, Lyon (FR) or Nyon (CH)
  • Citizenship or valid work authorization in the country required
