We are on the lookout for a dedicated proactive Partnership & Supplier Engagement/Business Development Manager to join the team. Someone that has a strong passion for building relationships and driving business success would be ideal. The role would involve overseeing the execution/implementation of client work plans, and contribute to innovative program development. Here’s what you will be involved in:
Strategic Development: Play a crucial role in shaping our clients' futures by supporting the creation of work plans and strategies. Coordinate and execute initiatives efficiently to ensure success.
Relationship Management: Serve as the vital link between clients, Earthworm member managers, and internal teams. Maintain consistent and effective communication to foster strong, productive relationships.
Business Development: Help us grow by contributing to new business opportunities, using your skills to expand our horizons.
Innovative Contributions: Bring your ideas to life by participating in the development of new programs and strategies, helping us stay ahead of the curve.
Project Support: Dive into our traceability and grievance management projects, ensuring all aspects run smoothly and efficiently.
Field Activities: Join our Programs Implementation Team in assessments and on-the-ground activities, making a tangible difference in our initiatives.
You would need to have at least 4 years of experience of business-to-business client management experience and one that can excel in handling client relationships. Someone with a strong consultancy background would valuable. You should have some experience in field-based issue resolution, demonstrating your ability to understand conflicting inputs, achieve alignment, and propose effective solutions. One that is comfortable to participate in field activities. This role would be interacting with our China clients, it would be an advantage to be able to converse in Mandarin as an added advantage.
Your program management skills will be put to the test as you manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution. Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential to maintain clear and effective interactions across all levels. You come with the willingness to learn from others you enjoy working across teams and functions and take initiative whenever an opportunity arises.
A good understanding and keen interest in environmental and social issues in Malaysia, especially related to the palm oil industry, will be an advantage. You must be open and eager to be exposed to areas of business supply chain and sourcing issues. You may not have the extensive experience in the industry but your willingness to develop your career path towards building relationships with companies, governments and civil society organisations to bring responsible products to the market will be of advantage. Advanced computer skills, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite, are necessary to perform effectively in this role. It would be a good to have some understanding of RSPO/MSPO requirements and have fluent ability to converse in Mandrin, Bahasa Malaysia and English. One that loves to participate in a collaborative and organized manner, and can thrive in fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.
