With most of our staff operating directly on the ground where the issues are, we work with our members and partners to make value chains an engine of prosperity for communities and ecosystems.
We see a world where forests are a boundless source of materials and a home for biodiversity; communities see their rights respected and have opportunities to develop; workers are seen as productive partners, and agriculture becomes the instrument to feed a hungry planet and keep our climate stable.
As a Project Leader, you will have the unique opportunity to drive innovation across the Southern Central Forest Spine (SCFS) landscape. You will work collaboratively with farming communities, helping them understand their business better, improve collaboration, and create value that promotes resilience to climate and market fluctuations.
Provide advice, ideas and innovations; and participate actively internally and externally in developing and implementing the smallholders & community transformation programme in the SCFS landscape.
We are looking for a passionate leader with at least 5 years of experience in consulting or the industry, particularly in social, rural development, agricultural, forestry, natural resource management, plantation, environment, biology and/or rural community engagement. Your expertise in fieldwork, project management. Building relationships with local stakeholders, government bodies, and NGOs will be highly valued in ensuring successful collaboration and project implementation.
Innovate and Inspire: You love to continuously seek new opportunities and present ideas to increase the resilience of smallholders and communities in existing supply chains against climatic and economic changes. Your innovative thinking will be key to our success.
Field-Based Engagement: You will work directly with smallholders and communities in Johor or Pahang to identify market opportunities, increase farmers' access, and promote their participation in markets. Your hands-on approach will foster an entrepreneurial spirit among farmers.
Enjoy Building Relationships: Your passion for working with smallholders and communities will be key to building strong, lasting relationships. Your efforts will generate significant value and promote resilience. You are a self-starter who believes that farmers are entrepreneurs with vision and leadership. Your proactive and innovative mindset will be essential in driving our mission forward.
Your project management capabilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office will ensure you effectively manage data collection, progress tracking, and report writing. You'll bring your innovative ideas to the table, actively participating in program development and providing clear updates to the Project Manager on progress and challenges.
As a crucial link in our team, you'll ensure smooth communication and alignment between our global team and local stakeholders. If you're driven by the idea of creating positive environmental and social impacts through agricultural projects and excited about working with an organization dedicated to community transformation, this role is perfect for you. Your entrepreneurial spirit will help develop and free up innovations from smallholders and communities, making a tangible difference in their lives.
