Your Role

As the Rubber Coordinator in Côte d’Ivoire , you will be primarily responsible for:

  • Ensuring that rubber producers are trained in good tapping and plantation maintenance practices to maximize productivity while preserving the sustainability of the trees

  • Ensuring the development of skills in traceability and regulatory compliance to enable rubber producers to integrate into our partners' supply chains

  • Building skills in traceability and regulatory compliance to enable rubber producers to integrate our partners' supply chains

  • Monitoring plantation sustainable maintenance activities (weeding, fertilization, pest and disease control)

  • Monitoring the application of recommended standards to ensure sustainable, high-quality latex production

  • Quality control of harvested latex and implementation of corrective measures in the event of non-compliance

  • Supervising the mapping and satellite monitoring systems to identify possible deforestation activities

  • Planning and coordinating missions within budget and deadlines.

     

Your Profile

You are a strategic thinker with strong planning skills, particularly in management areas related to agriculture, environmental, and social issues. You have a solid understanding of current challenges and the broader environment in which we operate, especially within the rubber industry. You demonstrate the ability to work effectively with businesses on management, supply chain, and certification matters. You proactively share knowledge to support team and partner development, and you possess excellent computer skills to facilitate your work.

Working Conditions

  • Diplomas: Higher education (Bac+5) in regenerative Agriculture, Environment, Economy, etc.

  • Experience: At least 5 years’ experience, including 3 in a similar position in rubber estates.

  • Language skills: Fluent in French (written & spoken); Good in English (written & spoken).

  • Type of Contract: One year contract with possibility of renewal. Full-time position.

  • Working conditions: Based in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.Office-based position (be able to do remote work/work from home when required). Regular travels to the field.
