Another step forward for the food industry.
TFT is pleased to announce that Cérélia, one of Europe’s leading dough manufacturers, has joined TFT as a palm oil member. Palm oil is one of the key ingredients in Cérélia’s pastry products,which are sold to food retailers in 16 countries throughout Europe.
Cérélia is committed to sourcing 100% traceable, No Deforestation palm oil by 2018. In order to achieve this aim, Cérélia will work with TFT to map its palm oil supply chain and work closely with suppliers. Cérélia understands the issues facing smallholders, and is aiming to include them in its supply chain. Florie Loth, who heads up TFT’s palm oil projects in France, applauds Cérélia’s commitment. “We are happy that Cérélia has become a TFT member – it is another step forward for the food industry, one that we hope will be followed by others. Their commitment to No Deforestation means food retailers throughout Europe, who are working with Cérélia, will be able to provide responsible, traceable palm oil for their dough products.”
Cérélia is a founding and active member of the French Alliance for Sustainable Palm Oil.
